We Need More Than Talk
Let’s be honest—Christian men are full of opinions.
They post memes. They read books. They listen to podcasts (thank you, by the way). They rant about the state of the world, complain about the government, and gripe about the church going soft.
And most of them will die having done absolutely nothing.
No action. No risk. No sacrifice. Just noise.
But every now and then, God raises up a man who isn’t content to sit in the bleachers. A man who takes the field. A man like Dusty Deevers.
Dusty’s not a celebrity. He’s not a professional politician. He’s a husband, father, pastor, and now—by God’s grace—a duly elected Oklahoma State Senator. Not because he had political ambitions. But because he saw tyranny creeping into his community, and he feared God more than he feared man.
He didn’t just talk the talk. He walked the hard road.
What’s Stopping You?
Let’s be real—Dusty’s story isn’t about how to run for Senate. It’s a call for Christian men to stop hiding behind excuses. You don’t have to run for office to take dominion. But you do have to stop retreating into private piety and pretending that neutrality is a virtue.
The Lord Jesus Christ is not only King of your quiet time. He is King over your home, your business, your city council, your school board, and yes—your government. And He expects His men to act like it.
We’re living in a time when courage is costly. If you speak out, they’ll call you a Christian Nationalist. Good. If you lead your family like a patriarch, they’ll say you’re toxic. Excellent. If you train your sons to be bold and your daughters to be feminine, they’ll call you dangerous. That’s a badge of honor.
So again—what’s stopping you?
4 Ways to Stop Talking and Start Building
If you’re tired of just consuming content and want to put some steel in your spine, here’s where to start:
1. Take Dominion in Your Home
Start with the basics. Are you leading your family in daily worship? Are your children being discipled, or are they being babysat by TikTok? Are you cultivating your wife with the Word, or just coasting?
If you’re not ruling your house well, you’re not ready for anything else. God’s order starts at home.
2. Plant Your Feet in a Faithful Church
Dusty was sent out by his church. Not just "blessed" from afar. Commissioned. Supported. Prayed over.
Are you part of a church that would back you like that? Are you part of a church that would discipline you if you turned coward?
Find one. Build one. Reform one. But don’t try to be a lone wolf. Lone wolves get eaten.
3. Engage the Civil Realm—Where You Are
You don’t need a campaign manager to make a difference. Start by showing up.
Go to school board meetings. Write your local leaders. Serve on a committee. Speak at a town hall. Start a men’s group that’s more than just coffee and self-pity.
You were not made to be passive. You were made to fight. Start where God has placed you.
4. Fear God More Than Man
This is the foundation. Dusty didn’t run because it was safe. He ran because it was right.
Men who fear God can withstand slander, threats, opposition from the Left, and criticism from spineless Christians. But men who fear man will sell out the moment it gets hard.
Courage isn’t about being loud. It’s about being faithful—even when no one claps.
No More Excuses
You don’t have to be famous. You don’t need permission from the world. You need a backbone, a Bible, and a commitment to obey Christ in every sphere.
Your sons are watching. Your neighbors are watching. And most of all, your King is watching.
So stop tweeting about tyranny and start confronting it.
Stop ranting about the feminization of the church and start building one that trains warriors.
Stop hiding behind theology and start applying it.
In the end, talk is cheap. The question is: Will you actually do something?
Build. Fight. Protect. Lead.
This is The Patriarchy.
